A WordPress care plan is a monthly website maintenance service for your WordPress site. I keep WordPress, your plugins and your theme up to date, run backups, watch for security issues and fix small things before they become big ones. Plans start from $300 a month, and I’m based in Altona VIC, in Melbourne’s Inner West, working with small businesses across Melbourne and Australia.
Why a care plan?
WordPress sites don’t break all at once. They drift. A plugin misses an update, a backup quietly stops running, the PHP version falls behind, and one day something stops working, usually at the worst possible time.
A care plan stops the drift. You get a site that keeps working, and a person to call who already knows it.

Digital Care Plan: from $300/month
For businesses who want their site to just work.
- WordPress core, plugin and theme updates
- Automatic daily backups
- Security monitoring
- Uptime monitoring
- 1 hour each month for routine checks and minor fixes (typos, small text changes, cosmetic tweaks)
- A plain-English monthly summary
- Hosting included if you’d like it, or I’ll look after your site where it already lives
Pricing depends on your hosting and setup. I’ll confirm the exact figure after your Health Check.
Tech Support Retainer: from $850/month
Ongoing WordPress support for businesses with regular tech needs.
Everything in the Digital Care Plan, plus:
- 5 extra hours of support each month (6 in total)
- Website updates and improvements
- Email system maintenance
- Priority response times
- Unused hours roll over (up to 2 hours)
What happens each month
- Updates, done safely. WordPress, plugins and themes are updated with a backup taken first, and the site is checked afterwards.
- Backups you can rely on. Daily backups, stored securely off-site in cloud storage, so your site can be restored if something goes wrong.
- Security and uptime watched. If your site goes down or something suspicious turns up, I know about it and deal with it.
- Small fixes handled. A typo, a stray character, a tweak to some text. The little things that never quite get done.
- A monthly summary. A short, plain-English note on what was updated, what I checked and anything worth knowing.
Is a care plan right for you?
A good fit if you:
- have a WordPress site your business relies on
- don’t have the time (or interest) to keep it updated yourself
- want someone to call when something looks wrong
Probably not what you need if you:
- need regular new pages or content (the Tech Support Retainer suits that better)
- aren’t on WordPress (get in touch anyway, and I’ll point you in the right direction)
How to get started
- Health Check first. Every new care plan starts with a WordPress Health Check (from $49), so we both know what we’re working with.
- Anything urgent gets fixed. If the Health Check turns up problems, I’ll tell you plainly and quote any fixes up front.
- Care begins. Your plan starts, and from then on your site is looked after every month.

Common questions
Is there a lock-in contract?
No. Plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice.
Do I need to move my hosting?
No. I can host your site, or look after it where it is now. We’ll work out what suits your setup.
What does the monthly hour cover?
Routine checks and minor fixes such as typos, small text changes and cosmetic tweaks. Bigger jobs like new pages or features are quoted up front, or covered by the Tech Support Retainer’s hours.
What if my site breaks?
If it’s caused by an update I’ve applied, I’ll fix it as part of your plan. For anything else, you’re a priority, and I’ll let you know the cost before starting.
Can you look after a site someone else built?
Yes. That’s what the Health Check is for. It tells me how the site is put together before I take it on.
Do I still own my website?
Always. Your site, your content and your domain are yours. If you leave, I’ll hand everything over.
Do you only work with Melbourne businesses?
I’m based in Altona in Melbourne’s Inner West, but care plans are done remotely, so I work with businesses across Australia.
